Common questions about splitter ratios and factory planning

A splitter ratio defines how an input flow of items is distributed across multiple output belts. For example, a 1:2:3 ratio means the input is split into 6 equal parts, with outputs receiving 1, 2, and 3 parts respectively.
Divide the input rate by the number of outputs. For example, 600 items/min across 3 outputs gives 200 items/min each. The formula is: output = input / outputs.
A 1:2:3 ratio means the input is divided into 6 total parts (1+2+3). Output 1 gets 1/6 of the input, output 2 gets 2/6 (1/3), and output 3 gets 3/6 (1/2). For 600 items/min: 100, 200, and 300 items/min respectively.
